About Lustre Labs
Lustre Labs is a wellness ecosystem rooted in Ghana that blends plant-based skincare, movement, and mindful living. Inspired by ancient African beauty practices, we create natural skincare and haircare products using minimal, transparent ingredients and eco-conscious packaging. Alongside beauty, we host pole fitness pop-ups and community wellness experiences that celebrate strength, self-expression, and connection.
Our journey is guided by a commitment to healthy skin, empowered communities, and a healthier planet. We aim to help consumers make informed choices about the products they use and the lifestyles they build.
Our Approach
1
Simple
We prioritize transparency through minimal ingredient lists and plant-based formulations designed to support natural skin and hair health.
2
Sustainable
Our products are packaged with eco-friendly materials and sourced with environmental responsibility in mind, supporting long-term wellness for both people and planet.
3
Effective
We focus on solutions that work — combining traditional African beauty knowledge with modern understanding to address everyday skincare needs.
4
Holistic
We approach self-care as a connected system where skincare, movement, and mental wellbeing intersect. We integrate beauty with physical and creative wellness experiences to support whole-person health.
The Lustre Ecosystem
Lustre Labs connects multiple dimensions of self-care:
Natural skincare and haircare products,
Pole fitness pop-up experiences, Wellness workshops and community events,
Educational content through our wellness journal.
Together, these elements create a holistic approach to personal wellbeing grounded in movement, ritual, and sustainability.
About the Founder
Lustre Labs was founded by Suad Abdel-Rahman, whose personal exploration of natural self-care and movement shaped the vision behind the brand. After transitioning to natural hair and skincare routines, she began developing her own plant-based formulations in 2017, inspired by ingredient transparency and African beauty traditions.
Her wellness journey extends beyond skincare. Practicing yoga since 2016 and pole fitness since 2022, she approaches self-care as a balance of physical strength, mobility, and mindful ritual. This perspective informs Lustre Labs, an ecosystem that combines natural products with movement-based community experiences designed to build confidence, capability, and connection.
Through Lustre Labs, she continues to explore how sustainable beauty, movement, and education can support healthier individuals and communities in Ghana.
